Venues--an extremely important part of any event, yet often overlooked or stressed-causing. For corporate events, the debate is usually based around, "should we spend the money for a separate facility, or should we just hold the event in our own building?" For brides and grooms, it's often a stress of how to be original, or how to find something that just says: "us."
For corporate events, your employees are in that building day after day. Our opinion? Spend the extra cash to get your employees out of the house or the office to a place that is truly fun and memorable. You might even be able to get the event sponsored by the venue. For brides and grooms, Seattle is filled with a plethora of original and beautiful venues. We've decided to highlight a few of Seattle's most beautiful and unique venues fit for any event. These will surely leave an impression with your guests.
The Museum of Pop Culture (formerly known as EMP), located right next the the iconic Space Needle, is a unique venue inside and out. Filled with pop culture history from every age, the building itself is a piece of art with its purple mirrored outside and beautiful architecture. The museum has many event spaces available such as the Sky Church (Capacity: 400-500) or the The Lounge (Capacity: 75-100). Should you choose to have your event catered, MOPOP offers custom catering by Wolfgang Puck to compliment your gathering. This venue is an experience in itself.

Located on Pier 51, the Seattle Aquarium is easily one of the coolest event spaces in Seattle. The venue's website describes the fish as "interactive party decorations," doubling as complimentary entertainment. Holding up to 800 people, it is often very popular for proms, but can be a fit for any event from weddings to corporate gatherings. The event space has its own onsite culinary experts to bring you a food experience perfect for your personal event!

If you're looking for somewhere with culture, consider the centerpiece of the Point Defiance Japanese Garden! Originally built as a luxury stop for the Tacoma street car line in the early 20th century, the present-day Pagoda preserves the original Asian-inspired design. The surrounding Japanese garden features sakura cherry trees, pools and waterfalls, and an authentic Shinto shrine and Tori Gate. The Pagoda serves as a venue for weddings, family gatherings, and corporate events, holding up to 200 people!
