It's that time of year again! Grab your favorite green shirt and shamrocks lest you get pinched--St. Patrick's Day is this Friday! In good form, Seattle has quite a few fun events planned for this Irish celebration, from adults-only to family-friendly. This next week is going to be full of green clothes, leprechauns, corned beef with cabbage, and classic Irish beverages (of the alcoholic sort, of course). Check out some of these fun events happening throughout the week!
What better way to celebrate good ol’ St. Paddy’s Day than with a three hour cruise on Lake Union and Lake Washington? The cruise includes classic Irish appetizers and handcrafted Irish cocktails along with other delicious dishes and desserts. Buy tickets for $42!
Keep the festivities going through the weekend with this fun concert! Seattle Pipeline says, “Bellingham-based band Polecat brings Stomp-Grass/Americana/Celtic/Reggae/Rocksounds to the Nectar stage on March 18th for a Saint Patty’s Day Celebration.” Tickets start at $12 for this fun 21+ event!

This year is Kells 34th annual St. Patrick's Day Irish Festival! Festivities commence on the 16th and continue throughout the weekend, showing a line-up of Irish and and Pacific Northwest bands. The pub will be offering an array of classic Irish dishes along with Kells signature Irish drinks. Admission starts at $20 for 21+.

Looking for something family-friendly? You’re in luck! Kids (and adults) can learn about Ireland’s traditions and the meaning of St. Patrick’s Day at the Seattle Children’s Museum on March 17th. From jigs and reels to classic Irish stories, all ages are bound to have a blast at this fun filled event! Tickets start at $9.50.
Too busy with St. Paddy’s Day events and parties on the day-of but still want to take the family out? Check out Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium on March 18th to watch animals interact with their trainers and enjoy “lucky treats!” Kids are sure to enjoy the animal interaction, and what adult doesn’t love watching penguins cuddle and eat treats?
