Hennessy Case Study: Fight Night Activation

The Goal

Hennessy and Canelo Alvarez’s goal was to champion the important power of heritage and dedication through multi-year, multi-city bar activations.

Each round of events centered around the major fights of Canelo Alvarez.

The Plan

After talking to the team at The SnapBar and working together to come up with a plan, Hennessy and Canelo Alvarez decided the best way to achieve their goal was to utilize The SnapBar’s Selfie Stands.

Working with Team Hennessy Canelo and the incredible folks from the Strategic Group agency, this activation each involved a mass deploy of over a dozen Selfie Stand units to bars across the country.

The Hurdles

For these activations, we had several hurdles to overcome.

Getting the units to each venue, remotely overseeing setup, and supporting each bar during ‘fight night’ proved to be the most complex part of the activation.

Especially because we didn’t see anyone from the Strategic Group and The SnapBar team wasn’t ever on location.

This meant we had to conduct flawless communication, make sure all directions were clear, and be available for instant support should any of the bars need it.

The Results

So far, results have been incredible with tons of content being shared and posted to social platforms.

Also, a bonus, the images we captured had an overlay with the hashtag #howwehennessy which has been used on Instagram over 4,900 times.
